The China IPR SME Helpdesk is a free service funded by the European Commission under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP), which provides practical, objective and factual information aimed to help European SMEs to understand business tools for developing IPR value and managing risk.
The purpose of this website, the China IP Insider, and the material provided, is to support small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) understand and manage their intellectual property rights in China and to provide support to SME intermediaries. The information provided aims to prepare those entering China, those already operating in China and those who have encountered violation of their intellectual property. It should not replace consultation with a legal advisor, but can help to prepare a business for such discussions. The services are not of a legal or advisory nature and no responsibility is accepted for the results of any actions made on the basis of its services.

Your personal details will be kept confidential, however, non-identifying details of your query may be shared with relevant service providers or government departments or agencies in order to respond to your query.
Your information will be managed in accordance with the law, including the Data Protection Act 1998.
The Helpdesk is based in Beijing. Whilst English is our main language, the Helpdesk can service emails in a number of European Languages.
