The China IPR SME Helpdesk will be running ‘Industry Spotlight’ month, where we’ll be casting light on industry-specific intellectual property rights (IPR) issues in China throughout August.
Each week, we will provide tailored IP advice for a different industry. We will focus on:
3-7 August: The Food and Beverage (F&B) industry;
10-14 August: The IT industry;
17-21 August: The fashion industry; and
24-28 August: The mechanical engineering industry.
Keep an eye out for blog posts, quizzes, social media updates, guest articles, infographics, case studies and industry-specific news.
SMEs are invited to submit any questions related to these industries (or any others) to our enquiry helpline via telephone or email, where you’ll receive first-hand advice from our China IPR Business Advisor.
Mismanaging – or entirely overlooking – IPR is a key reason for European SME failure in China. By protecting their IP assets, EU SMEs can capitalise on revenue-generating opportunities, avoid paying large sums of money to existing trade mark owners, and forfeiting profit – or irreparably damaging their reputation – to counterfeiters.
